What does legal protection insurance cover?

Legal protection insurance normally insures the costs of legal representation in or out of court. In addition, legal protection insurance can also cover the costs of attorney’s fees, court fees, expert witness fees and witness fees incurred in connection with a legal dispute.

Which areas of law are often covered?

The areas of law covered are not the same for every product, but the lower ones are predominantly included in the insurance benefits or can be selected in addition:

Civil Law

Civil law is about how two parties enforce their mutual rights and obligations. Examples include contract disputes, property disputes, claims for damages, claims for alimony, and acknowledgements of debt. In civil litigation, a party may be obligated or released, damages may be awarded, and/or alimony may be paid.

Tenancy Law

Tenancy law deals with the legal relationship between tenant and landlord. Family law

Labor law deals with the legal relationship between employees and employers. It regulates, among other things, the employment contract, working hours, remuneration, termination, dismissal, continued payment of wages in the event of illness, vacation entitlement, maternity benefit entitlement and much more.

Inheritance law

Inheritance law deals with the legal relationship between heirs and testators. It regulates, among other things, the drawing up of wills, instructions on the division of the estate, the distribution of inherited property, the reimbursement of inheritance taxes, the fulfillment of inheritance claims, the opening of the estate and the community of heirs.

Car / Traffic Law

Traffic law deals with the legal relationship between drivers and road users. It regulates, among other things, compliance with road traffic regulations, participation in road traffic, the use of motor vehicles, liability in the event of accidents, the settlement of damages and the imposition of penalties.
